Some ball bearings cause less friction than others

Ball bearings are a type of bearing which use balls to separate the moving components. Bearings allow moving parts to work and bear weight. In a fifth broad form the invention provides a currency counting machine for counting currency documents, each currency document having disposed thereon or therein coded data including a number of coded data portions, each coded data portion being indicative of an identity of the currency document, the counter including: an input for receiving a number of currency documents to be counted; an output for providing counted currency documents; a feed mechanism for transporting currency documents from the input to the output along a feed path; a sensor for sensing at least one coded data portion for each currency document transported along the feed path; and, a processor for: determining, from the at least one sensed coded data portion, a sensed identity for each currency document; determining, from the sensed identity, a determined value for each currency document; and, counting the currency documents using the determined values.
